Project Look Ahead application provides a quick overview of the Project. Project Look Ahead displays visual schedule and helps to execute handovers according to plan. You can see the color-coded current readiness status of any available certificate in the system. Each tile represents a scheduled Certificate and shows the current progress and readiness status of Check sheets / Punch Items. Detailed Certificate information can be viewed by hovering over the Tile.


Navigation 


  • Today - use to navigate to the current period  (day, week, month, or quarter)
  • << - use to navigate whole visible screen period
  • < - use to navigate one period back (day, week, month, or quarter)
  • > -  use to navigate one period forward(day, week, month, or quarter) 
  • >> - use to navigate the whole visible screen period

View modes

Certificates can be viewed by the period:

  • Day  - grouped by day
  • Week - grouped by week
  • Month - grouped by month
  • Quarter - grouped by quarter

Dates

Chose one of the Certificate dates to populate Tiles

  • Planned  - Certificate planned date
  • Forecast - Certificate forecast date
  • Forecast/Planned - uses Certificates planned date in a case when forecast date is not defined
  • Issued - Certificate issued date
  • Accepted - Certificate accepted date
  • Accepted/Forecast/Planned - uses Certificates forecast date in a case when accepted is not defined; uses planned date when both are not defined

Progress

  • None - no progress
  • Checklist - Complete check sheet / Total Check sheet of Certificate phase
  • PLA - Closed "A" Punch Items / Total "A" Punch Items
  • PLB - Closed "B" Punch Items / Total "B" Punch Items

Total row

  • None - Hide total row
  • Checklist - Total Checklists / Completed Checklists / Outstanding Checklists
  • PLA - Total "A" Punch Items / Completed "A" Punch Items / Outstanding "A" Punch Items
  • PLB - Total "B" Punch Items / Completed "B" Punch Items / Outstanding "B" Punch Items

Legend (color-coded certificate statuses)

Hide or show Certificate Tile by pressing the Status button 

  • Nothing Scoped - Certificate has no related Check sheets
  • Outstanding Checklists - Certificate has pending Check sheets
  • Checklists complete - All Certificate related Check sheets have been complete
  • Issued - Certificate has been issued
  • Accepted - Certificate has been accepted
  • Overdue - Certificate has past Planned or Forcast date

Filters

Preview specific Certificate Tiles by using a predefined filter. Filter fields set is based on selected certificate type (Package, Subsystem, System, etc.). Use Filter Builder to create advanced filters.

Bottom-Up View

Default Tiles rendering process is from top (earliest scheduled) to the bottom (lastest scheduled). By activating Bottom-Up, certificate Tiles will be rendered from the bottom (earliest) to the top (lastest).

Export as PDF

Project Look Ahead can be printed out by using the Export To PDF option. It allows setting a Title, showing or hiding Legend, choosing export Orientation, PDF paper size, and Quality. For wall printouts, it is recommended to use higher quality.

  • First day of Week - affects on Day and Week view periods

Certificate Detailed Information 

Hover cursor over a Tile to get quick readiness information of the Certificate. Popup has information such as Description of System certificate belongs to; Planned, Forecast, Issued and Accepted dates of the Certificate and readiness status of Check sheets and Punch Items.

By clicking on the Tile popup dialog will be open with general information of the system Certificate,  and also a list of Punch Items and Check sheets scoped to the system.
