Work Order - Register

    Locate Work Order by searching in the open field in your menu.  This is also located under PES - Work Preparation & Planning

    This will direct you to the Work Order register with a list of work orders for all domains and sub domains you have access to.

    WO can be created based on a Work Preparation Request (WPR) This is typically in design changes, scope transfers, modification packages or other Work preparation sources. Read more on creating a WPR here


    Note ! Keep the link between WPR and WO. Once a WO has been created, the best practice is to follow the WO progress.



    Work Order register


    The Work Order register is a list with all registered work orders for all domains and sub domains that you have access to. There are multiple columns fields with information that you can filter on and search in in order to locate Work Orders. The register is set up with colored boxes for Status and Material to easily show the current status and if there are any outstanding tasks. 


    • Grid layout: The register is set up in a gridsystem. There are multiple options to filter data and columns layout ,see Navigatingin Pims Web applications for more information.
    • Search field: The register provides the opportunity to search for Work Orders in all columns at the top of the register. 


    Column field


    Column Field Description 
    ID ID number for Work Order, Link to open workflow
    Status Color coded  Work Order Job Status
    Task Work Order Tasks, Work Order Tasks (indicator for Open/Outstanding tasks)
    Material Status Color coded Material Status
    TitleTitle of Work Order. The warning icon  will appear if one or more  linked documents are not on latest revision.
    Hold Work Order Hold code.Hold codes are used to highlight or indicate further in the system why a certain job cannot be (continued) worked on. 
    Responsible Responsible Delivery Line 
    TypeWork Order Type is connected to the Work Order type of scope. 
    Discipline / Sub DisciplineWork Order Discipline Code 
    Plant Plant (Installation/Facility) on an Asset 
    AreaPlant Area (E.g an Area/Room)
    System / Sub System System: An operational / non operational System
    Sub System: A sub division of system (Used for splitting into more managble units for handover purpose)

    All Column field


    Click on the ... to see all column fields available in the register. Select Choose columns and choose what columns you want to show in the grid. Description of some fields are described here


    Pre-buillt filters


    There are some pre-built filters located in the the top bar menu of the register. Click on the Show Filters button. A set of pre-built filters will then appear. Click on selected filter to see further filter options.

    Click on the Hide Filters button to hide.

    E.g Filter on Job Status, Issued for Site Verification. Click Fetch data to apply filter. The register will now list All Work Orders with Job Status Issued for Site Verification (2).
    There is a count, showing numbers of WO with this filter. In this Example it would list 2 Work Orders.  


    Note! Remove filter to view all Work Orders in the register.


    Remove filters


    If you have filtered Work Orders as given in the example above, you can easily remove the filter and show All work Orders again by clicking on the red X symbol located in the bottom bar of the register. 


    Show


    There are more options to filter WO in the Show section of the top bar.


    Click on the buttons to view the drop down list with further filtering options. 

    Show:

    • Only Open: Only Open, Open & Closed or show All
    • Only direct: Onlydirect or Direct and indirect 
    • Any start date: Any start date , or a rangebetween 2 – 8 week Lookahead


    Open a Work Order


    All registred Work Orders has a unique Work Order ID , the Work Order ID is highlighted in blue.

    Click on the ID link to open the Work Order.  


    Add new Work Order


    To create a new Work Order , click the + Add new button in the top bar. A new form will appear. 


    Select the base data the new WO is going to be structured on. If there are multiple option, the selection will show when clicking on the drop down symbol.  

    When the form is filled click on the Create button.  A New Work Order has been created, to proceed with the work process click Open Work Order in the popup box.


    Copy Work Order


    You can easily copy an existing WO and select the Metadata that you want to include.

    • Click on the line inside the register to select the WO that you want to copy data from. When a WO has been selected the grid line will be highlighted with a light blue colour. 
    • Click on the Copy Work Order button


    • A new window will appear. From here you can select what metadata you want to copy from the selected Work Order. The WO ID and Title that you are making a copy of is listed under Select Work Order to copy.  Tick of boxes of data to include and click Create New Order


    Note! If you need to change the WO that you want to copy data from you can locate another WO from the drop down list. You can easily find another WO by searching in open title field.
     


    • Before the WO is created , a popup window will appear to confirm that you want to proceed with the new Work Order process. Click Open Work Order to proceed with the WO process.
